David Franklin
David is a lifelong musician who believes music is one of humanity’s most powerful tools for healing. A multi-instrumentalist and composer of 12 albums, his work has received multiple awards and was used in the MAPS Phase 2, MDMA clinical study. His latest release, Music for Ketamine (2025), is a richly layered, immersive soundscape created specifically for ketamine-assisted psychotherapy sessions.
David is also a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a graduate of the UC Berkeley Center for the Science of Psychedelics, Psychedelic Facilitation Certificate Program. When he’s not performing at group ceremonies, he maintains a private therapy practice in Lafayette, California. Originally from New Jersey, he now lives in Oakland.
