Harsimrat Kaur Gundu

Harsimrat is a recent graduate with an Honours Psychology B.A. with research interests in mental health, culturally responsive care, and psychedelic-assisted therapy. She works as a research assistant on multiple projects, including studies examining perceptions and experiences of psychedelic therapy among racialized communities. Her research experience includes participant recruitment, qualitative analysis, and focus group facilitation support. Her academic interests focus on family dynamics, community context, and how social and cultural factors shape coping, healing, and access to mental health care. She is particularly committed to ethical, community-engaged research that centers marginalized voices within emerging areas of mental health treatment. Simmi plans to pursue graduate training in clinical psychology, with the goal of contributing to evidence-based and culturally informed mental health practices.
