Jay Attila

Jay Attila is the Director of Research for The Aya Mission, where she leads the development of an ethical, scientifically rigorous, and culturally informed research program focused on trauma recovery and behavioral health. She holds a master’s degree in psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology and is completing her doctorate in public health. Jay established the organization’s Institutional Review Board and built its research infrastructure, including data governance and participant protections. She is also the founder of MindOps, The Aya Mission’s peer reviewed research journal, where she oversees editorial operations and publication standards. Her work integrates neurotechnology, including EEG based neurophenotyping, with trauma informed and community aligned methodologies. Prior to this role, Jay served as a civilian data analyst supporting military operations, translating complex data into actionable insights. Living with Parkinson’s disease, she brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her commitment to accessible, ethical research.
