Liana Sananda Gillooly
Liana Sananda Gillooly is a voice for ethical alignment, accountability, and systems-level integrity in the psychedelic and technology sectors. With has over fifteen years in advocating for safe and legal access to psychedelics, including leading fundraising and strategy at the MAPS, she has played a pivotal role in advancing psychedelic medicine and policy, while consistently holding a mirror of responsibility up to the field. In 2019, Liana co-founded North Star Project, aimed at developing ethical guidelines for the emerging psychedelic sector. She is currently stewarding the True North Guild, a year-long community of practice for psychedelic CEOs and founders, where members work through the real tensions of commercializing psychedelics and co-develop best practices together. Liana currently holds the role of Principal Liaison to Tristan Harris, the world renowned technologist and ethicist who forced Silicon Valley to reckon with its conscience, and who is sounding the alarm on the perils of AI in his new documentary The AI Doc: or How I Became an Apocaloptimist, out in theaters now. A certified permaculture designer and death doula, Liana brings a holistic perspective grounded in the belief that meaningful change requires both cultivating new systems and mindfully composting those that no longer serve. Her work bridges consciousness, capital, and community in support of initiatives that steward transformation with care, humility, and long-term responsibility.
