Tarin S. Hale
Tarin has been practicing law for over 30 years, primarily in the areas of civil litigation and criminal defense. His claim to fame was the 1999 criminal defense of a 12-year-old charged with murder based on a false confession. The events of that case lead to a mid-life crisis with severe depression in 2010. Tarin credits Shamanic plant medicine with curing his depression and saving his life. Since then, Tarin has focused his law practice on advocacy/defense of entheogenic plants. In 2022, Tarin helped a nurse in Indiana who was facing 25 years in prison for growing psilocybin mushrooms to relieve her treatment-resistant depression. In 2023, Tarin helped a Boston area police officer receive permission from his department to attend a psychedelic church. Tarin continues to help members of the Psychedelic community facing criminal charges and advising/consulting on religious protections.
