Tony Martin

Tony Martin (he/him) is the Program Director of the Berkeley Center for the Science of Psychedelics (BCSP), where he bridges direct psychedelic care with macro-level systems building across science, culture, and community engagement. Prior to BCSP, Tony served as CFO of Upworthy and GOOD Worldwide, and has also worked as a licensed clinical social worker and psychedelic facilitator providing trauma-informed care. He has professional experience as a screenwriter in film and television, bringing narrative craft and creative insight to his work. Tony is passionate about cultivating ethical, reciprocal psychedelic ecosystems, advancing interdisciplinary inquiry into consciousness, and designing spaces that support profound individual transformation while honoring long-term, intergenerational impact. Central to his work is fostering creativity, bringing people together, and exploring the role of non-ordinary states in collective healing and the work of being a good ancestor.
