Trang Nguyen
Trang Nguyễn, LCSW, PPSC (they/them) is an Anti-Oppressive and Complex Trauma Psychotherapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Abolitionist Social Worker, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapist, and Community Organizer residing on the unceded land of the Ohlone people, colonially known as Oakland, California. Trang is a queer, non-binary, neurodiverse, 1st-generation on stolen land, person of the global majority and has arrived on Turtle island as a descendant of colonized, occupied, displaced, and liberated Vietnamese people. Trang's work centers healing through a justice-oriented, abolitionist, decolonial, intersectional, anti-imperialist, transformative + restorative justice, harm reductionist, depathologizing and non-carceral lens. Trang priorities working with Black, Indigenous + People of the Global Majority, Queer Folx (2SLGBTQIA+), formerly incarcerated, system-impacted, Immigrants, Refugees, Diasporic, Undocumented Individuals + Asylum Seekers. Trang integrates decolonial, IFS, bottom-up, experiential, trauma-responsive and somatic practices to support folx in exploring the answers within themselves with the intention of creating a more sustainable and livable internal and external ecosystem.
