Nick Walker
Dr. Nick Walker is a professor at California Institute of Integral Studies, where he has played a central role in creating the worldʼs first Bachelor of Science program in Psychedelic Studies. He holds a 7th degree black belt in aikido and serves as senior aikido teacher at the Aiki Arts Center in Berkeley, California. Dr. Walker has been a leading thinker on neurodiversity, consciousness expansion, and transformative somatic practices for the past two decades, and is the author of the influential essay collection Neuroqueer Heresies. Books to which he has contributed chapters include Diverse Bodies Diverse Practices and The Routledge Handbook for Creative Futures, and he has co-edited multiple volumes of the annual neuroqueer lit anthology Spoon Knife. From 1996 to 2015 he was a core member of director Antero Alliʼs experimental physical theatre group Paratheatrical Research. He also writes the urban fantasy/sci- fi/espionage webcomic Weird Luck.
